About
Quantum algorithms for sensing and network control
I am a third-year PhD student in the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems at the University of Pittsburgh, advised by Dr. Kaushik P. Seshadreesan. I develop variational methods for quantum sensing and classical reinforcement-learning policies for link-layer control in quantum networks.
What I work on
I study how interaction and control constraints affect quantum sensing, and how finite memory coherence affects quantum-network performance. In sensing, I use numerical simulation and classical optimization to design probe states and readout circuits for dipolar-interacting spins. In networking, I train link-layer control policies and compare entanglement-swapping protocols under memory decoherence. My work combines Python-based simulations, variational quantum algorithms, reinforcement learning, and parameter sweeps on the Pitt CRC computing cluster.
Before Pittsburgh
I completed an integrated BS-MS in physics at IISER Bhopal. My thesis with Dr. Rohan Singh examined two-dimensional coherent spectroscopy with chirped and unchirped pulses. I solved optical Bloch equations numerically and gained experience with an ultrafast spectroscopy setup. I also worked with Dr. Ankur Raina on a measurement-based surface-code encoder. An earlier internship with Dr. Srijit Bhattacharjee at IIIT Allahabad introduced me to quantum information through entanglement entropy in coupled harmonic oscillators.
